How my ADHD and ASD ”Labels” Help me
Friday Jan 21, 2022
Friday Jan 21, 2022
In this episode, Amanda talks about how getting the diagnosis of ADHD and later ASD help her to better understand her brain and do things in the way that works for her. Because of these labels she is able to see the ways ADHD makes parts of her life a challenge and how ASD makes other areas difficult. The knowledge and understanding of her brain and how it works then helps her to shift how she does things, and how she interacts in the world, to work for her nuerotype instead of against it. Why Should isn’t a Good Motivator for ADHDers
Friday Jan 14, 2022
Friday Jan 14, 2022
In this episode Amanda talks about how to shift your "shoulds" to start learning intrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation is something we aren't usually taught and something that our ADHD brains don't know on their own. An ADHD brain is motivated by other things like urgency, but we need to learn how to motivate form within as well. Join us in listening today to learn how to start doing this for yourself! Relaxation Meditation
Monday Oct 11, 2021
Monday Oct 11, 2021
This week is a meditation sample for you to use however you need. Remember you are allowed to have your mind wander, you are allowed to move if you need to. Many ADHDers think they can't meditate, because of those needs. However, you are allowed to use this mediation to help however it can. So if you can only handle a few minutes that is fine! If you need to switch to a new position a minute in and then another few minutes in, that's fine too! I'm so proud of you for trying! Hope this helps!!
